Rebecca (or Becca) places great value in human connection and understanding what 'makes up' another person. This translates to her practice, where she strives for a holistic, individualised approach to help others develop confidence, knowledge and skills around nutrition and food. Rebecca has worked in a range of settings that have supported her values around providing patient and community-centred preventative healthcare. She has assisted with some important health promotion projects, including the Queensland Government's largest funded nutrition program (Good Start) and Nutrition Australia Queensland's 'INSPIRE' project. In recent years, she has loved working within the disability sector, providing nutrition support to people of all walks of life, which has broadened her critical thinking and creativity skills when it comes to providing nutrition care. Through her experience, she has developed a keen interest in IBS and gut health, type II diabetes and paediatric care, and is looking forward to completing additional formal training in these areas soon.
