Robert is a registered psychologist, with a passion for supporting people to experience wellbeing and achieve their mental health goals. Robert provides support to children, adolescents and adults. Robert has experience providing psychological intervention and assessment to a wide range of individuals in both community and clinic settings, supporting individuals transitioning from mental health settings back into the community, and offering counselling services to individuals and family members impacted by alcohol and other drug use. Robert has a keen interest in working with people experiencing anxiety (e.g., general anxiety, social anxiety, and separation anxiety), obsessive-compulsive disorder, depression, difficult life decisions, work stress, academic stress, and difficulties related to Autism-Spectrum Disorder. Robert creates a safe and supportive environment through a warm, empathic, non-judgemental, and collaborative approach. Primarily offering treatment within a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) framework, Robert also draws upon other evidence-based treatment modalities including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Solution Focused Therapy (SFT). Robert also draws on elements of humanistic psychology when appropriate, incorporating elements of Existential Therapy, Person Centred Therapy, and Positive Psychology.
